The event will also go beyond the world of watches and jewelry, showcasing diamonds, gemstones and pearls. In particular, guests can expect to see an abundance of diamonds this year, with the diamond market expected to grow in the
foreseeable future. A growing gap between supply and demand is expected as a result of anticipated demand growth driven by China, India and the United States.
High-end jewelry design has seen plenty of color, so guests can also expect to see colorful gemstones dominating the market. Finally, better quality, bigger sized pearls are in constant demand, particularly from Asia, resulting in short supply. Golden South Sea pearls have seen prices increase in the past four years, with natural events like the super typhoon in the Philippines affecting prices.
